ILVA GROUP: THE NEW SCRATCH RESISTANCE WOOD COATING

For surfaces with excellent resistance to scratching and polishing. At the Milan edition of Architect@Work 2017, IVM Group with the ILVA brand, point of reference for wood and coating in the furniture industry, presents the brand new Scratch Resistance wood coatings. The clear and pigmented polyurethane finishes range available in any desired color, both for industrial and crafts solutions, created to guarantee surfaces with excellent resistance to scratching and polishing similar to the resistance of such materials as laminates.

A new perfect evidence for the capacity of innovation that has always distinguished ILVA, point of reference on Italian market, brand of the international IVM Group, one of the largest and influential wood coatings manufacturers in Europe and in the world. Ilva products were born in 1946 in Italy - cutting-edge country in the furniture industry - thanks to the constant interaction between the wood production and the Brianza furniture manufacturing cluster, Italian excellence appreciated all over the world. The ongoing activity of Research and Development has always been at the bases of the Group mission.
Nowadays, ILVA R&D division has around 200 Researchers and Technicians working at global level with the most technologically advanced tools to develop new specific proposals to meet the productive requirement of everyone, from the light user to the large-scale industry.
The new Scratch Resistance wood coatings as all the ILVA products are manufactured in the Plant of Parona, Pavia area, unique in terms of size and innovation. Extended over an area of more than 15 Hectares, it was planned to ensure production standards that are among the highest in the world, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, as fundamental aspects in the chemical sector, strongly influenced by issues related to safety and environmental hygiene.
The production processes are designed to be highly automated with the specific aim of improving the quality of production and finished products, in full compliance with the legislation on personal and environmental safety. The latest innovation, Scratch Resistance wood coating range, offers an alternative to the use of laminated materials. In comparison, the use of coating makes it possible to construct flat and contoured sections and offers an unmatched versatility. The ILVA Laboratories have developed innovative formulations that ensure perfect gloss over the entire surface, which remains unchanged including in case of high stress.
