The manufacturing plant and head office are located in Halden, Norway, a small town near the Swedish border.

The Norsaw machine has been produced since 1952, and the company employs a staff of approximately 40 people.
Ernex AS is a sheet metal industry. 90% of the production covers building saws and the remaining production sections cover subcontracting for other companies. In 1989 the company was taken over by the Gothenburg-based Ernstrom Group.
In 2001 a new group, Ernex Holding AS, acquired majority. In May 2006 the Manager, Mr. Yngvar G. Karlsen, became the majority shareholder in the company, but have later sold 35% of the shares.
