Steinemann Switzerland, latest innovations

As market leader and trendsetter Steinemann showcased its latest innovations and cornerstones of “Total Surface Quality” at the LIGNA 2017.

The innovative Swiss company jumps on the bandwagon of the digital technology by introducing the BQC and latest model in the SATOS family which sets standards and boasts with its innovative features. Another important milestone towards the perfect surface quality was reached with the introduction of the new generation of sanding belts. The TSQ belts. As Steinemann stands for excellence in service you can now download the Steinemann App for free. Board Quality Cockpit (BQC) With the world premiere Board Quality Cockpit Steinemann is ringing in a new era.
The aim is to wholly integrate the sanding line into the process of wood-based manufacturing. Data become easier to exchange and the sanding process significantly more efficient. The BQC is equipped not only with a machine and process data acquisition function, but also with a job, product and sanding belt manager. What makes this system really innovative is its ability to recommend settings to the operator based on relevant practical data stored in the controller that serve as an assistance system: This system checks various parameters, lets the operator know when major deviations occur or when limit values have been reached, and recommends suitable countermeasures to put the process back towards perfect surface quality.  And this is only the beginning. BQC Basic is the entry-level or standard module. Many further modules and add-ons are under development.
Amongst others chatter mark detection and roughness measurement. The new TSQ belts for the best surface quality results The TSQ generation of sanding belts from Steinemann was the missing element in a reliable sanding process. Ongoing basic research into particle board and MDF sanding, findings from our worldwide applications engineers, solid competence in sander technology and plenty of sanding belt know-how are the keys to creating the perfect sanding medium for wood-based materials and ensuring your Total Surface Quality! Satos TSQ the upcoming sanding machine generation With the SATOS Steinemann has succeeded in uniting the latest technologies with familiar and proven equipment, while always giving priority to maximum availability. Over 50 years of experience with sanding technology and mechanical engineering have been combined here with high-tech sensor and control systems in order to in-corporate new, innovative functions in the machine : This also was the right time to integrate the new Siemens TIA PORTAL. With a revised locking system and in-creased spacing the handling is significantly simplified and as this new locking de-vice functions completely without loose parts you can make sure everything stays in its place. Another advantage for a simpler handling results from automatic belt oscillation. Once the target values have been entered in the controller and the sanding belts inserted, the sander can be started entirely automatically at the press of a button. With regard to the integrated safety doors rather than safety gates on the operator side allow for a more productive working thanks to individual safety doors on each of the stacked units. This way, if the operator needs to intervene in the pro-cess or change a belt, he does not need to stop the entire machine module. Steinemann offers an app for chatter mark calculation The cause of chatter marks can be determined based on the distance between the chatter marks and several types of process and machine data. The app identifies the cause and displays the result. For this calculation, the app requires data on the geometry and process of the wide belt sanding machine, which are already stored in the App for most machines.
