Schmalz AT XYLEXPO, HALL 3 L01.

At Xylexpo 2016 the vacuum specialist Schmalz presents the efficient vacuum solutions for the clamping as well as for manual and automated handling of wood and furniture parts formed the center of Schmalz’ trade fair appearance. With the vacuum blocks VC-S and VC-B, for instance, Schmalz presented an attractive and flexible alternative to the original suction pads for CNC machining centers. Schmalz suction pads are compatible with the suction pads from this machine manufacturers and are easy to attach to the console.
The presentation at the trade show in Milan also featured the vacuum lifting device VacuMaster Window and the vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo for loading CNC machining centers. It is particularly suitable for ergonomically and safely lifting heavy, large-format wooden boards, for example when destacking, transferring and placing the boards on the machine table. It also means that the operator does not have to handle heavy workpieces. Workpieces can also be swiveled by 90 degrees using the pneumatic swivel fixture. For automated transport of wood and furniture parts, Schmalz presented the area vacuum gripping system FXP/FMP at Xylexpo. The system enables cost-efficient palletizing, depalletizing and commissioning of workpieces such as kitchen components and furniture parts, as well as windows and door elements.
“With an increase in visitors of more than 15 percent in comparison to 2012, this year’s Xylexpo was a huge success for Schmalz”, says Ralf Moser, Regional Manager Europe at Schmalz. “The numerous visitors and many exciting discussions show that the need for efficient vacuum solutions for optimizing the entire process chain in the wood and furniture industries is huge.” The German company Schmalz is internationally active and is has a subsidiary in Novara to cover the Italian market.
