History of Scavolini in a book: this is how Italy’s best selling kitchen company celebrates its first 50 years of activity
History of Scavolini in a book: this is how Italy’s best selling kitchen company celebrates its first 50 years of activity. “The best seller from Italy. Scavolini 1961-2011. 50 years of kitchens” is the title of the book published by Skira and edited by Massimo Martignoni, art historian and author of numerous studies and publications dedicated to modern architecture and design.
The book describes an important chapter of Italian design; at the same time it’s a book of memories that weaves together the history of the Company and its products with the history of the Scavolini family. The author accompanies the reader in a journey through the history of the brand but also through the history of our Country: in fact Scavolini’s path is
tightly bound to Italy’s social, economic and industrial evolution.
Looking through the book, one can feel the commitment and passion of the founders: the history of Scavolini is an Italian story of excellence originated from the entrepreneurial initiative and intuition of the young Valter and Elvino Scavolini brothers. Scavolini is a brand which imposed itself in the global market thanks to a constant, rigorous and sober approach never raising its voice and aiming at a policy of continuous improvement.
