Wolf-Gerd Dieffenbacher introduced into the Washington State University Hall of Fame

Washington State University organizes every year one of the world`s most important International Wood Composites Symposium in Seattle, Wa., USA.
From March 30, through April 1, 2009 the 43rd symposium was held in Seattle, Wa., USA. Several hundreds of visitors from all over the world participated at this event and did listen to special presentations focussing on “Markets, Sustainability, Utilisation of Biomass and Product and Process Innovation” representing the key topics of the program.
Before the official opening of the 43rd Symposium, Mr. Wolf-Gerd Dieffenbacher, President and CEO of the Dieffenbacher Group was honoured with the “Distinguished Service Award” of the Engineering faculty of Washington State University and at the same time has been introduced into the “Hall of Fame” of the faculty. The distinguished service award has been given to Mr. Wolf-Gerd Dieffenbacher in “Recognition of Significant Scientific and Industrial Contributions in the field of Wood Composite Materials”.
Following the introduction of Mr. Dieffenbacher into the „Hall of Fame“ he presented as the key note speaker of the symposium a paper on “Markets- and Trends in the Wood Based Panel Industry.”
