MARUNI JAPAN COLLECTION IS ON SHOW AT THE VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM, LONDON
We are proud to announce that the Hiroshima armchair and the T&O T1 chair were certified as part of V&A Museum’s permanent collection.
The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London was founded in 1852 and is one of the world’s leading museums of decorative arts and design, both in terms of quality and the size of its collections. Over 2.3 million objects, ranging from prehistoric artefacts from over 5,000 years ago to modern works of art from all over the world, are housed in the museum. The Toshiba Gallery of Japanese Art, which opened in 1986, features not only historical Japanese objects, but also electronics, photographs and fashion items that reflect recent trends in modern art and design. Two chairs from the Maruni Collection have recently been put on display in the Toshiba Gallery as examples of Japan’s outstanding craftsmanship and uniquely delicate sensibilities. The V&A has over 140 galleries, the majority of which are permanent displays that can be enjoyed free of charge. The beautifully designed cafeteria and museum shop are also extremely popular among visitors. Please stop by and check out the museum if you are in the South Kensington area Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) Cromwell Road, SW7 2RL London / United Kingdom The Toshiba Gallery (Room 45) is on the ground floor (Level 1).
