Recent Investments .
The SEZ Alabuga MDF Facility investment in Tatarstan-Russia Federation started up production in June 2014. After the establishment of this USD 260 million facility, the largest MDF Facility in Russia, Kastamonu Entegre also embarked on the construction of the second MDF line in the country as of end-2014. After the start-up of the second MDF line at the Alabuga MDF Facility, the total production capacity will be up from 4.55 million m3 as of year-end 2014 to 5 million m3 by year-end 2016, a 12% increase.
In May 2015, the foundation of the world’s largest particleboard plant with an investment of 200 million USD was laid in Russia. The particleboard facility which is located in Kaluga region, nearby Moscow will become operational at the end of 2019 has the speciality of being the second location and third invesment in Russia.
